Chevy Blazer C100 Bulkhead Connector

Image
C100 Bulkhead Connector As for the bulkhead connector. GM uses a dielectric type of grease on many of their connections to help reduce the corrosion factor. This grease should be considered normal.   Nearly all of the bulkhead connectors on GM vehicles are sandwiched between the firewall using a single bolt through the center. This bolt may not come out all of the way, as there may be a retainer on the threaded end of the center bolt to hold it within the connector. As you begin to remove the center bolt, you may need to gently pry the connector away from the sealer that was used 15 years ago during the assembly process. Check to see if you are able to lower the fuse box from inside first to help get a good view of the way the connector is secured.   I am also seeing a bolt that is shown to be in the lower corner on this graphic. Let me know if this pic is accurate and matches your vehicle. Bulkhead connector location diagram:

Chevy Secondary air pump Relay And Fuse Location

Image
Chevy secondary air pump stays ON all the time I noticed the secondary air pump stays on all the time, even if I have the ignition turned off. My mechanic stated that it might be the relay? Where is the relay for the 99 suburban located? The relay for the air pump is located in the under hood fuse box, if that is not the problem the problem is most likely a shorted ground wire to the relay, it would need to be traced back from the relay until the problem is found. THe grounding wire is brown in color. The relay in the pic below is highlighted, it is the relay for the air pump.

Chevrolet abs light, airbag light, daytime running lights always ON

Image
ABS light, Airbag light, Daytime running lights always ON Chevrolet BCM Issue sure sounds like a loss of communication between the control modules. the tough part, the system is like the old christmas tree lights. if one of the modules go down, it can pull down the hole data stream. same goes with the serial data line. what is really needed to help isolate this problem is a GM tech 2 scan tool. if there is no way to get your hands on one of these tools, the only other option you have is, check each control module power and grounds. to make sure the wiring is good. next step would be to check the serial data line for any opens or shorts. I have even seen a control module pull down the system. any one of the control modules could cause this. and they are all quite pricey.   just had a thought, I have seen ground G110, which is the ground for the abs and 4wd modules cause a problem. there is some ground wires mounted on the left frame rail, just below the drivers door. ma...

2002 Chevy avalanche BCM Wiring Diagram

Image
Chevrolet BODY CONTROL MODULE WIRING DIAGRAM Ok, the bcm is a real possibility. the bcm is kinda a central computer for all the control m modules to communicate with each other. the engine control module, abs module, 4wd module, air bag module and dash are on what is called serial data circuit. kinda works like a network of computers. there is a circuit called data line that connects all these modules together, so each control module can talk to each other. if there is a problem with one of the modules or the line itself, it can cause all of these problems. we can rule the ecm out because it runs. this problem can be very hard to check out. you will have to start with checking all the power and grounds to each control module. if all this checks ok, then the data line system will have to be checked for any problems. if all the wiring check ok, then a bcm would be the likely problem. here is a wiring diagram on the data line. The data link connector (DLC) allows a scan tool...

Chevy Dash light And Temp Gauge Indicator Light Fuse

Image
Dash Light And Temperature Gauge Indicator Light Stopper Working I would verify that the i/p fuse box on the left side of the dash has all the connectors seated. I would also verify that there are no chaffed wires that feed the drivers seat, and also the passenger door. As far as the rt speaker not working, check for wires shorting out to ground, and if it has an amp check to make sure the output for the rt speaker is working. Getting a static shock when exiting the vehicle is not uncommon. It depends on the seat fabric, weather, and clothing. I have used a spray static guard on seats to lessen the occurrences. It does not indicate a problem with the vehicle. MBEC 1 fuse blew again thus disabling the driver seat and passenger right windows. I replaced this fuse at that time and the seat a windows have been working fine. However, my dash/Instrument lights and the compass/temperature indicator light on the rear view mirror stopped working.  ========= The I/P lamp dimm...

2004 Chevy Suburban Fuse Box

Image
Chevy Suburban Fuse Box 2004 Chevy Suburban 1500 - power to driver's seat and power to RH windows stopped after battery was replaced, CB to seat and CB to RH power windows both check good, I believe it is the lebc 1 or lebec2 maxi fuse in the under hood fuse box that has blown. This maxi fuse supplies power to the rt door circuit breaker and the drivers seat. See Below the wire diagram and fuse box location It is the MBEC 1 fuse that powers the rt door and the seats. It is a 50 amp fuse. Here is the diagram and fuse box location. you should be able to pick up a fuse at any parts store. I have had the fuse fail if the operation of the seat all the way back or forward and the window are operated at the same time. It draws right at 49-55 amps when the seat reaches the full travel and the button is still pushed on the seat. It happens so fast that the circuit breaker doesn't trip fast enough and the MBEC fuse blows.
