Chevy Blazer C100 Bulkhead Connector

C100 Bulkhead Connector

As for the bulkhead connector. GM uses a dielectric type of grease on many of their connections to help reduce the corrosion factor. This grease should be considered normal.

Nearly all of the bulkhead connectors on GM vehicles are sandwiched between the firewall using a single bolt through the center. This bolt may not come out all of the way, as there may be a retainer on the threaded end of the center bolt to hold it within the connector. As you begin to remove the center bolt, you may need to gently pry the connector away from the sealer that was used 15 years ago during the assembly process. Check to see if you are able to lower the fuse box from inside first to help get a good view of the way the connector is secured.

I am also seeing a bolt that is shown to be in the lower corner on this graphic. Let me know if this pic is accurate and matches your vehicle.
