Chevy secondary air pump stays ON all the time
I noticed the secondary air pump stays on all the time, even if I have the ignition turned off. My mechanic stated that it might be the relay? Where is the relay for the 99 suburban located?
The relay for the air pump is located in the under hood fuse box, if that is not the problem the problem is most likely a shorted ground wire to the relay, it would need to be traced back from the relay until the problem is found. THe grounding wire is brown in color.
The relay in the pic below is highlighted, it is the relay for the air pump.
